The choir that I sing in, Healing Voices Choir, will be presenting a program this Thursday evening, April 21st, at 7:00 p.m. featuring Music of the Movies at the historic  Clinton Street Theater. This concert will feature many jazzy choral arrangements of songs from classic movies such as The Wizard of Oz, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Singing in the Rain, Casablanca, and
Breakfast at Tiffany's. Featured composers include Herman Hupfeld, Henry Mancini, Anthony Newley, and Harold Arlen. In addition to the choral pieces, many soloists and duets will entertain you, highlighting favorites from movie musicals. I will be featured in a duet of the song My Friends from the movie Sweeney Todd which I am very much looking forward to!  Images from the films will be projected on the screen behind the singers. Rebecca Stuhlbarg conducts and Peter Fullerton, piano. Tickets are $15 suggested donation and benefit Vox Academy, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization healing and empowering voices in our community.  You can get tickets to this show at Brown Paper Tickets.
